The first-ever Onam Celebration at Ideal International School, Irimbiliyam, held on 29th August 2025, was a vibrant showcase of Kerala’s culture and traditions. The day began with Malayali Manga & Mannan competitions and the grand Ghoshayathra of Maveli, followed by exciting games like Lemon Spoon, Sack Race and Biscuit Biting.
A joyful Onam Sadhya brought everyone together, while the graceful Mega Thiruvathira by all the girls and the spirited Tug of War added to the festive charm. Creative classroom activities like Pookkalam Colouring, Greeting Card Making and Onappatt further engaged students, while the beautiful Pookkalam and festive decorations added colour and cheer.
Special appreciations to the convenors Mrs. Soumya, Mrs. Sinija, Mrs. Fathima Nazeera, and Mrs. Ayishathu Binooja, and the entire team for their wonderful coordination, making the first Onam celebrations at IIS a truly memorable and joyful experience for all.
